In January 2005 [after a successful tour of the United States in 2003/2004], we opened up the first Christian Recording Studio in Uganda and started work on our third project EXODUS. The result was a beautifully crafted and mature sound born out of fresh influences we'd experienced on our travels in different corners of the world.
In keeping up with true First Love tradition, EXODUS like ASANTE has a li'l bit of everything for everyone. From the smooth sultry sounds of YOUR LOVE, the rich African harmonies of HAKUNA WAKAITA, to the jovial and playful JAMMIN' and SIYABONGA, the album covers a wide spectrum of genres easily enjoyed by anyone.
On a deeper level, this album reflects our growth and journey into God, and the transformation this has brought into our lives. While all around us we'd experienced upheavals and unrest, we found serenity and peace in knowing that God is in control. EXODUS will no doubt bless your heart.
